For a seed to achieve its greatest expression, it must come completely undone. The shell cracks, its insides come out, and everything changes. To someone who doesn’t understand growth, it would look like complete destruction.
Moving toward the light. Literally.
Some idiot candidate for Congress has apparently said that executing gays is an acceptable “option.” (An option for what purpose? Eradication? Like the measles? I’m not dignifying the whole thing enough to click on the link and read it and find out. It’s the same approach I take for Michele Bachman and Sarah Palin — if I ignore them, maybe they’ll just go away).
A person I know just barely well enough to be friends with on facebook has posted a link to an article about this person’s comment.
One of her “friends” made a comment along the lines of: “Christians and the lions; maybe the Romans had it right in the first place.”
Am I the only person who thinks is equally offensive?
Stereotypes anyone? Judgement?
I know, I should ignore this person, too. But there’s possibly a chance that this person will read my comment and think about what they just said.
Probably not. I know. A girl can dream.
We’ve had a tough couple of weeks. I’ll write about it more at ahmjustsayin.wordpress.com when I can find more than a few minutes. We’re all fine, but a bit of a medical scare concerning Only Daughter and way more time in the area children’s hospital than I care to spend. Nothing like a little perspective to make you want to ignore all the
morons, idiots, useless time-sucks the world tries to throw at you.
So speak up when it might make a difference. The rest of the time, close your eyes and stick your fingers in your ears and sing stupid songs really loud and the morons/idiots/useless time-sucks magically disappear. Works for me.
